Starting Over

I used to have my site at http://www.darthcynthia.com/ and updated frequently for a few years at least.  After a while, I just stopped doing anything with it.  I kept meaning to update the look, and even change the domain name… but I didn’t know what to do with it and kept putting it off.

My husband has his WordPress blog at http://www.thejugglingwriter.com/ and really likes it, so he recommended I try it.  So here it is, finally!  No more excuses — I can get back to enjoying my website and trying different things with it.

My old site used to have art galleries, and seemed to be more of a fan site than anything about me, really.  While I do hope to add art here again, I don’t want it to be the main focus.  One thing I discovered, was that I wanted a site for me.  A site that friends and family could see what I was up to, and also to meet new friends!  Also, a site that could change as my interests changed.  I will probably talk about hobbies (I have way too many), and post links to things I find fascinating.

About Cynthia Griffith

I have way too many interests and hobbies, and continually cycle through them -- paying attention to some, while others wait for when I can get around to them again. My main interests are sewing and costuming (I enjoy historical clothing, such as 18th and 19th century, as well as fantasy costumes like elves and hopefully someday even dwarves), as well as getting back to art by drawing fan art of Thorin Oakenshield and Company. My husband Christopher and I spend a lot of time together, enjoying the outdoors and shared hobbies such as juggling. This blog and website is my way to share what I'm up to with friends and family.

  1. I’m glad you’re back to having an active Web site.

I really think you’ll like WordPress. It’s kind of like a much, much easier way to maintain lots of information like we used to do when we first started building sites and–essentially–blogging in 1992.

I look forward to seeing your site grow and you sharing all your skills and hobbies with people.

  2. So far, I’m really liking WordPress. Very easy to use and imagine that… I found a theme I loved on the first try! I could even be happy using this theme for a while, too 🙂 Thanks again for your help and tips!
