New Fundraiser Drawing – Dancing Fern!

I was working on another similar design of my own to help a different sanctuary when I saw The Farm Micro Sanctuary put a call out on Instagram for artists to draw their goat Fern as a ballerina dancer (she was standing up to reach leaves on a tree branch above her). I had stopped working on my dancing goat and decided this might be a fun way to get that project moving again too! They wanted something fun and simple, and it was definitely a blast to draw her!

Money raised from this fundraiser goes to help buy hay for all the animals this winter.

Sketched on regular drawing paper in blue pencil and black pencil, transferred to 9×12 Bristol with blue pencil, then inked with brushed and pen, before finally being colored on computer, with the texts and hearts added in the same program (Adobe Illustrator). The fundraiser can be found here: https://www.bonfire.com/fern-dancing-for-joy/

Hurry! This fundraiser campaign only lasts for two more weeks! There are a variety of styles – such as hoodies, t-shirts, and long sleeved shirts – as well as sizes, like youth!

About Cynthia Griffith

I have way too many interests and hobbies, and continually cycle through them -- paying attention to some, while others wait for when I can get around to them again. My main interests are sewing and costuming (I enjoy historical clothing, such as 18th and 19th century, as well as fantasy costumes like elves and hopefully someday even dwarves), as well as getting back to art by drawing fan art of Thorin Oakenshield and Company. My husband Christopher and I spend a lot of time together, enjoying the outdoors and shared hobbies such as juggling. This blog and website is my way to share what I'm up to with friends and family.
